Short paragraph Birdo is an on-device AI golf caddie for iPhone. It combines open course data from OpenStreetMap, GPS positioning from Core Location, and an on-device language model — Apple's Foundation Models — to give club recommendations, precise front/center/back-of-green yardages, and full Stableford scoring. A deterministic engine ranks the candidate clubs from the player's own carry numbers; the on-device AI then picks one and explains it, never inventing a yardage. Everything runs on the phone: there's no account, nothing about a round is uploaded, and cached courses play through dead zones. Group rounds sync privately through the player's own iCloud.
